I did this landscape painting in a very pleasant little park behind The Mausoleum of Hadrian, usually known as Castel Sant’Angelo (English: Castle of the Holy Angel),  which  is a towering cylindrical building in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. Virona Cimiterio, Roma, 5 x 8 in., Oil (Sold)

This painting was done on the first day that I met some of the local  painters in Rome. It’s a gorgeous cemetery established in the early 1800’s. There are many beautiful sculptures and graves. Una Fontana di Villa Borghese, Roma 8 x 10 in., oil on linen

  Villa Borghese is a large landscape garden in the naturalistic English manner in Rome, containing a number of buildings, museums (see Galleria Borghese) and attractions.
