
Here is a nice viewpoint from the ramparts around Ortygia island in Sicily which I painted. I don’t have any information about this church (besides a name) . If anyone knows, I’d love to know. It looks very old when I walked around it.
Also, here is a aerial view of Ortygia, with the volcano Mt. Etna in the background. Friends of mine observed a small eruption a few days before in the nearby city of Catania, but I missed it. You can see the church near the end of the peninsula if you look closely.
