Paintings from Autumn/Winter 2023-24

.

Belfast, Maine cemetery angel monument. 8 x 10″ or 20 x 25 cm, oil.
On location at the Belfast, Maine cemetery.

I’ve been enjoying painting on acrylic primed acid-free mat board recently. It’s an archival surface for oil paints, but it’s much lighter to carry when I travel.

An old pick up truck at the Long Cove Quarry in Saint George, Maine. 8 x 12″ or 20 x 30 cm, oil on paper. (sold)
On location at the Long Cove quarry in midcoast Maine.

It’s not obvious from the picture, but this truck rests in a now disued granite quarry with old excavations that are now mini lakes. Locals use this as a swimming hall. It looks wonderful!

Owlhead. 9×12″ or 24 x 30cm, oil. This isn’t really a recent piece but I don’t think I ever posted it on my blog.

Autumn Flowers, 8 x 10″ or 20 x 25 cm. oil on paper.
