I finally  have finished touching up and documenting my Neapolitan and Sicily paintings from my trip earlier this year. Here is a great view of the end of Ortygia island in the city of Syracuse, Sicily.

Syracuse is a pleasant place, very cleaned up compared to most of Italy. It is also the home to Carravagio’s Saint Lucy painting which is worth a trip by itself (see image  below).  Syracuse  was once described by Cicero as “the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of them all.”

If you are interested in seeing artwork I have for sale or auction take a look at my daily painting blog here or at my auction interface here.
