This past winter I spent about 10 weeks in NYC working at Evergreen Architectural Arts Midtown Mural painting studio.
This work was painted near Sprucehead ,Maine,not far from my house. One new discovery for me on this trip to Rome was the Museo Pietro Canonica. Pietro Canionica (1869 – 1959) was a celebrated Italian sculptor, painter, and composer. It’s a wonderful small and free museum in the Villa Borghese Park. A quiet place to sketch from his brilliant sculptures.
I’m back . For almost three months now. I returned May 9th. I had a terrific time. It was a long trip and it had its up and downs, but it met its goal, which was to get away from my regular life and refocus my attention on painting.
